I've photographed & disregarded years worth of these images but I suddenly feel a need to pay more attention, preserve these places somehow. I see them as a gentle reminder of another way of living - simpler, slower and grounded in care. They don't ask for perfection. They ask to be held together. I can't help but question what we choose to keep, and what we too easily let go. Some you see here are now gone, my heart aches a little when they are replaced by huge houses and rising oceans.
